Many of modern Wiccan, Christian, and Judaism practices can claim at least a little bit of influence from either paganism, heathenry, or atheism. To speak of Christianity and Atheism together could be misconstrued as sacrilegious. However, to the educated Christian, they would recognize the necessity for the opposite of faith to exist. That is, if they were to believe as their Bible intends, they would have to accept that doubt is a human condition regardless of belief systems.
The truth of the Divine Order of the Dryghtyn is that there is room and even necessity for all religion, for all beliefs, and for all doubts. The main focus of the order, where pagan, heathenry, and atheism is concerned, is that they bring a levity that is necessary to those who would fall into the zealot category. Zealots are easily found in every known religion. But the order seeks to remove zealousness from the spiritual context. There is a lack of certainty where belief and faith systems are concerned, therefore we should weigh them in acceptance of that uncertainty.
All beliefs in anything, require faith. The order seeks to remove faith. There are interesting points to all religion. There are valid arguments for beliefs. The order says whether you believe in anything, we are here to explore anything, everything, or nothing, together.
One way in which the order is similar to Wicca is that the focus is to avoid causing harm. This requires pagans, heathens, and atheists to hold their beliefs solely for themselves. If harm is done through paganism, heathenry, or atheism, then it falls outside of the order and thus ceases to be welcome within the order.
On the other hand, paganism, heathenry, and atheism are often a personal pursuit and is rarely explored via community. The order seeks to pull these belief systems into the fold and allow them to enjoy the community that is lacking on their journey to spiritual connection.
For the atheists who believe once you die that death is the end, there is still the reality side of the order's understanding. There is uncertainty in all beliefs and thus, the belief in the Lord and the Lady is a choice that members of the order can choose to adopt for their own. The order seeks to help others to find respite from the radical religion pushers found within all the previously discussed religions.
