There are many ways to support the Sisterhood Watch mission — whether through volunteering, donating, or spreading the word. Every act of care strengthens the circle.

New Parents: We’d Like to Hear Your Story

We're currently exploring an idea called Sisterhood Watch, focused on understanding how people who have given birth experience support—or the lack of it—during the months after having a baby.

Before developing anything, we want to listen.

We're looking to speak with people who have given birth within the last five years about their experience after bringing their baby home.

You do not need to have experienced postpartum depression or had a difficult postpartum experience.

In fact, we want to hear from people who:

Felt incredibly supported

Felt completely alone

Had family and friends nearby

Had very little support

Had an easy transition

Had an incredibly difficult one

Or experienced something somewhere in between

The conversation will take approximately 30 minutes and can be done virtually.

We'll ask about what support you had, what actually helped, what you wish had been different, and what you think new parents need after childbirth.

We're especially interested in hearing from people in Central Michigan, but participants from anywhere are welcome.

These are informal community listening interviews intended to help determine whether there is an unmet need and whether the Sisterhood Watch concept is worth developing.

Your experience matters—even if your experience was a positive one.
