When you travel on or by horse, there is a symbiosis there that you work together to get to a point on the path. In love, whether you are the horse or the rider/the cart, the idea is that both are needed to get somewhere. That's to say that both parties are necessary for the journey. Without the horse, you journey alone. With the horse, you have a travel companion that gets you there faster. Putting the metaphor aside, you need to recognize you are the company you keep. If you are harsh and cruel, your partner is going to get tired of that eventually. If you are gentle and sweet, your partner is going to reciprocate in kind. In all things love, you may be the main character, but if you refuse to accept and nurture your companion, they would be loathe to hang around long.
Now for career, this is saying it's a team effort. You are but one cog in the machine. Do you support your co-workers? Or do you push them away? Do you praise them and be as complimentary as possible? Or do you put them down and speak negativity into their days? If the second of each of those is where you find yourself, this is going to hurt you. Today's a day to change that. You need someone by your side that's going to alert you to danger. Someone who can feel things before they come to pass. Someone who will be strong and bull-headed to ensure both of your safety. This someone may be overly dramatic, especially when danger is unable to be found, but their care for you and their own safety is worth celebrating. Let the image of a horse and rider traversing a dark woods and the horse steadfastly refuses to go one more step. You get off the trail and then a whole host of bandits fly down the path where you'd just been.

With all of that, it's kind of re-affirming the rune in that you need a companion and support from others to walk the path before you. And while excess could be misconstrued as a bad thing, this one hints more of an excess of caution to overcome the obstacles. In other words, consult others and then err on the side that is safest.
