The rune that was pulled today was firstly, Sowilo, then Kenaz, and finally Thurisaz.  Seeing as Sowilo and Kenaz were recently pulled and they felt off to me (third time's a charm), I pulled one finally time and got Thurisaz.  It is the symbol for thorn, but is commonly understood to be your own inherit ability to protect yourself.  And this theme comes up in the tarot spread.  Let's dive into the implications for love, career, and personal for Thurisaz, however.

For love, this rune is encouraging standing up for your needs and creating boundaries.  Even in a new or blossoming relationship.  The need for taking care of protecting yourself will be required for every aspect, including your love life.

For career, things may be coming to a head.  Conflict may be on the horizon.  If that's the case, be ready to protect your interests and your work.  If you can, get ahead of it before it can do harm to your reputation.

For personal, your space is your own.  Protect it.  Find your safe haven, if even if it has to be a place in your mind that you go to, you need a place where you can protect yourself.  Create the boundaries necessary to protect that space at all costs.  Your health and happiness are worth defending!

The runes for today are different.  I ended up using three different decks.  Let's start with the first, my usual deck.  It was a five card spread as always.
Past - King of Pentacles
Present - The Hanged Man
Future - Inverted The Sun
Obstacle - Justice
Solution - Inverted King of Cups

The past speaks to security.  The present speaks to patience and potential sacrifice.  The future speaks to sadness.  The obstacle speaks to fairness.  And the solution speaks to coldness.  Seeing as there seemed to be conflict with this reading, I pulled out my shadow deck (the deck I use for uncovering shadows in my own soul).  This is what I pulled from that deck.
1 - Seven of Wands (this one jumped out of the deck)
2 - Inverted Eight of Cups
3 - Inverted The World

The first card represents challenges, the second represents aimless drifting, and the third represents being held back.  Similar feel as the first spread.  I worried that perhaps there was someone holding me back.  And then I got the sense that I was the one holding myself back, so I grabbed my inner healing deck.  I pulled one card from this deck.  It was the Queen of Cups.  She represents psychic abilities among other things.

The feeling I'm getting from the rune, the five card spread, the three card spread, and the single pull is that focus needs to be given to meditation and psychic abilities.  As always, major arcana cards (hanged man, sun, justice, world), these are controlled by fate.  The minor arcana cards (king of pentacles and cups, eight of cups, seven of wands, and queen of cups) are in my hands.  I get the sense that time needs to be devoted to stepping back and communing with the energies around me.  I get the sense that there is a need for rest.  I've been busy working on a lot this week.  And I think my subconscious is screaming to take a break.

With that, I think I'm going to go do something creative and maybe take a nap.  Until tomorrow, here's sending you love and light! ~ Solace
